Realm loses progress and I also lose items from my inventory

I played in the Minecraft realm for about 4 hours. I come back from mining and organized items into chests, crafted and placed things into my ender chest. After I was done I logged off. I came back a few hours later while friends were on and I noticed that I don't come back to the exact block I logged off and items that I crafted, were never crafted. Essentially I lost about 30min-1hr of progress in the game. What was even more strange is that some items were now missing from my inventory and a shulker box that I placed into my ender chest also disappeared. Keep in mind, I never died in-game. This has happened to me about 3 times now and this time is worse since I had valuables in that shulker box. This is making me frustrated and makes me want to cancel my subscription since what is the point of playing a game if I am going to lose progress and lose items for no reason.
