BT (xbox) Water block source

When caving I have a water source block i remove (place a block on the source) however the stream will end for 3 blocks then create a new source block.

It shouldn't create a new water source block after i removed the 1st one. In which i mean is i have a water stream in a 1 block gap then i cover it up. once the water removes itself it makes a new source block requiring me to spam blocks to find and remove it then the stream will die off.
