Mobs

Hi I am playing realm with my friend everytime i go mining i keeping dying by creeping spawning right behind me I look around to see if any mobs are there and then I do what I need to minde but when I turn back around after 2 seconds then there Is creeping I also notice that everytime a creeper blows me up I die but I have full health and hunger but I kills me straight away
