Realm connection problems

My friends and I keep getting java ioexception error while playing realms. Sometimes it works but mostly everything freezes and we die because of it. Why cant realms platform use a normal network source thing. My network works fine. I can play multiplayer and other online games easily but realms keeps disconnecting.
