World stuck in "initializing upload" then "an error occured"

Trying to upload a decently sized minecraft world (~600MB) onto the realm since 1.14.1.

It either gets stuck in initializing upload (longest time trying was 20h) or after a few minutes the upload stopps with the error message "an error occured".
