Addon not adding custom recipes and blocks to realms

With the recent update to Minecraft I wanted to add a custom add-on pack I made to my realms, however upon adding the add-on none of the blocks, custom recipes or shaders worked. I test my addon pack on a non-realms world and it works there. Thank you in advance for helping!
