Incorrect Realm Upload

When I configure the realm to upload the world that I made in single player, it 'downloads' and loads me in. However when I spawn at the coordinates my character was last at in my single player world, it seems that the seed is completely different. Does this mean the saved world isn't uploading correctly or that everything is in a different place?
