Cardinal Direction changed

After loading up, I was transported from bedrock where I was mining to the surface, and the Cardinal Directions (North South East, West) shifted 1 over to the right i.e.: What was East is now North, what was South is now East etc. I have loaded several times and directions remain in new position.
