Resource Packs!!!

I bought realms so me and my friend could play minecraft. She could join but I couldnt. It kept saying 'loading resource packs for ages and eventually 'unable to connect to world.'i don't understand what people mean by 'duplicate. Please explain better! I looked it up but I found nothing about how to fix it. I would be grateful if you could fix this on your next update. Thanks
