When I try to attempt to get into realms, i get an error saying i need to update my account, even though i already have updated it

My friend made a realm, and i wanted to join it, so i clicked on the realms tab. i was asked to update my account, which i did already a few months prior. I still cant access realms, and it has been a few months

What I expected to happen was...:
I should have seen a realm
