Realm kicks everyone online when I exit

I own a realm with a handful of friends. Every time I log off, it kicks every single person online saying that the "operator was shutting down the server" or something along those lines. 

This happens every single time I log out, no matter what. It also doesn't list the player count in the Realms menu even if there are 5+ people online. The difficulty resets as well but I have a bandage fix for that, so I'm more worried about people being kicked when I log out. 

Recreating...
To recreate, all I have to do is log off the realm.
