Realm reset without user action

Last night (4/15) it looks like an update got forced on our realm (perhaps this is the desired behavior). I updated the client, waited for the server to update, and then logged back in. Everything seemed fine.

(Don't know if this part is relevant) This morning I heard minecraft RTX was released, so I thought I'd give the beta a try. I downloaded the beta, deleted the beta. Reinstalled the 1.14.60 (realizing that I'd managed to delete all my worlds, including my realm backup, in the process). I then thought to myself, "well at least I've got my realm."

So I log into my realm this morning (4/16), and I'm at spawn with no inventory. I switch to creative and fly to my builds, but they aren't there. The world is completely reset. What happened?
