World not working properly when purchased realm

Today I purchased Realms on Bedrock (on my Xbox) for two players. I uploaded my world that I wanted to play on but the settings seemed to be different because I could not destroy anything (unlike before when I was on Survival) however I could deal damage to my friend - another player (unlike before when PvP was off). When I tried going on the world not as a realm, it said that I had to unlock a template and so I could not play on it. It directed me to the Marketplace to unlock this template which just locked my world after I got realms but then it sent me back and I could not get the template. I just wanted to play the world exactly the same, just as a Realm so my friends could play while I was not on.
