Droped/Mined Items randomly turn invisible

What I expected to happen was...:

When I throw an item from my inventory I expected it to be visible on the ground.

When I mine a block I expected it to be dropped as a visible item to be picked up.

What actually happened was...:

Instead, 50% to 70% of the times I threw/ mined an item that item would be invisible on the ground

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Have only had this issue when playing on a realm server
2. Obtain any item within the game
3. Throw the item from your toolbar using the "Q" key
4. The item will be invisible on the ground either from the moment it is thrown or once it rests on the ground for a short time.
5. The items thrown can still be picked up but there is no indication that the item is there (even tuning on hitboxes does not reveal the invisible items).
