Realms not working

Cant interact with blocks, only a small section of the map loading, character not moving on fellow players screen, takes plus 10mims to load into realms, upon death screen stays red with "generating world" written on screen. Have to exit the game to get off this screen.  (building terrain screen) this has happened on the last 3 realms I have been part of including one I purchased. Also wont allow me to engage with friends on multiplayer to private game or realm.
