realm changed

I play on a realm with my brother.  I logged on one day and everything I had was gone.  The gear the stuff in my bags and I was in a new area.  Looks like I was moved to a completely different map.  I would like this fixed please.  This makes me want to stop playing the game and my brother and I may cancel the realm.
