Joining Realm via Windows 10 is Unplayable

When joining a Realm made on Xbox via Windows 10 device, the world is unplayable. I have this this happen with 2 separate realms. 

When joining via a windows 10 device, the world takes ages to load in (if at all). Once in, the client and server feel desynced - items dropped from blocks take a while to appear; sounds are delayed; player position delayed (mobs will target previous player positions); fall damage is delayed.

These problems do not occur when joining via a phone, and non of the Xbox players feel any of these effects but another windows 10 player also has the same issues as I do.

 

Edit: Correction, my friend's problem has seemed to gone away by itself - mine is still there
