I can't open minecraft realms

I for the first time tried to play on my friends realm today when I clicked on minecraft realms in the home menu it opened up an error saying "an error occured 500" could not connect to realms: java.security.cert.CertificateException: No subject alternative DNS name matching mcoapi.minecraft.net found and then the rest is cut off
