Players are floating in mid-air, not falling down like they should be.

I was fishing in SMP and a friend called me. I left my laptop inactive until the laptop went into sleep mode. A moderator teleported me and I am floating in mid-air instead of falling down. And I went into jail......

 

What I expected to happen was...:

When I'm being teleported into mid-air, I should have fallen down and taken damage since I'm in Survival mode.

What actually happened was...:

**Instead, I was floating in mid-air after being teleported when the laptop went to sleep mode. I did not fall down nor take damage despite being in Survival mode.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Create a world with cheats enabled.
2. The host should be in Creative mode and invite another player in Survival mode.
3. The survival player should AFK until his/her laptop/device goes inactive (sleep mode). [Note: It might take a long time]
4. The Creative player should fly in mid-air and teleport the Survival player (/tp @a @s)
5. The Survival player will float mid-air despite being in Survival mode. The Survival player will only fall down if the computer is back active.
