Bedrock / Win10 / Cannot create new Realm

I have recently purchased Minecraft Starter for Windows 10 from the Microsoft Store so that i can play with my N Switch friend in a Realm.

Im all set up and logged in with my existing XBox account. However when I click on 'Create New Realm' I get "We're unable to connect to Marketplace...."

All other network apps are working. I've tried disabling the firewall. Same error.
