Error 500 when trying to upload worlds to realm

I know this issue has cropped up in previous versions of minecraft, but it states it as resolved and I wanted to guarantee that this did not slip under the radar. Whenever I try uploading a world to my realm, when it reaches the "verifying world" phase the upload immediately fails and puts out error 500. No idea what error 500 is, and I can't find it anywhere in minecraft's logs. I tried uploading multiple different worlds on multiple different computers, windows and mac, but to no avail. I even deleted all resource packs and texture packs, despite the fact that I have not used them in forever on realms. Please fix, this issue is extremely aggravating and preventing my friends and I from playing our new world.
