multi player over Lan MCPE crashes

i have a ipad mini my son plays MCPE on and a Windows 10 Intel core i3 -3240 3240@3.4ghz 8gb ram that we run a multiplayer world on and when he connects to mine hosted on the computer mentioned above his game crashes when he hosts the world it crashes after about 5 minutes give or take. i've also tried using my LG G5 to connect to a world he hosts with still the same result. i can however connect my LG G5 to the world hosted on my computer with no issues. he has the same problem with Realms.
