MInecraft Realms is lagging and freezes sometimes when loading.

Whenever the realm is loaded up or when I enter in or out of the nether it freezes and I have to log back in and I'll loose my stuff sometimes and part of the time there is constant lag and then a period of no lag. If help can be provided that would be great .
