Hitting a mob while switching a weapon with a clear slot from your inventory will clone the weapon

When you are holding a weapon(Axe, Hoe, Sword, Pickaxe, Shovel, Shears) or an item with "health bar" and switch that exact slot into a "clear" slot in your inventory then hit a mob, the item will duplicate, allowing for infinite cloning
