Infinite ''Building Terrain'' in Minecraft Windows 10 on Realm

So i was trying to link some nether portals near a guardian farm. I did some research and it may have something to do with it being in an ocean biome. When i entered the portal in the overworld, it didn't get me through. In fact, it just put me on the purple background and there was an infinite ''building terrain''. I then quit and tried to reopen the realm (which i'm not the owner of) and it did the same thing. I didn't find any solutions for this online.
