Nothing is showing up when i select the realms tab even worlds i created

im in 2 realms currently one of which i created and the other my friend made whenever i launch the game and open the realms tab nothing is shown not my world nor my friends this only changes when i get a notification and the ui is back and i can join my worlds but when i close the game and open it another time the problem persists
