I can't accept my friend's Minecraft Realm and everyone time they try to re-invite me the game just crashes.

I can't join their minecraft realm or accept their invite. The game doesn't seem to respond to me clicking accept on the invite and the person who hosts the realm can't send me another invitation because it crashes their game. I believe that this is due to a problem with my account itself or just my game, but I have not downloaded any mods or anything of the sort.
