Stuck on 'Building Terrain' when joining.

I've been trying for half the day to get onto my friend's Minecraft Realm, only to get stuck on the 'Building Terrain' message. My friends can all enter fine.

This has been mentioned on other posts, but none seem to have a clear solution.

Any help is much 'preciated.
