Stuck Loading Realm

When joining realm it says failed attempting to join realm, please try again later.

Previously the realm refused to load a chunk and after I quit to fix that issue it would get stuck loading into the realm. 

I have attempted to replace the realm with a back up from multiple different times including 1 hour ago and 3 days ago and it fails to replace the realm every time. The error I receive is: Replacing the world with selected backup has failed.

So the realm I am now paying for, for my friends and I to play has been corrupted or lost? Is there a way to fix this issue or are we stuck having to do a fresh start after countless hours of effort?
