Exp gain (leveling) just stops until reboot

Not sure about the affects versions choice above...

 

Playing in the Realms (just 2 people) and the exp gain will stop.  I'll still pick up exp bubbles, but I won't get anything from them.  Using 1 mending item and around  lvl 10 - 30, exp gain should be noticeable.  The problem usually goes away for awhile with a reboot of the game.

 

This problem has begun in the past week for us and effects both users and both computers.
