Flooring mysteriously disappeared from 3rd and higher floors of my house

Exploring a different part of world for a while, came back to my main house, and a huge vertical swath of flooring disappeared from the 3rd floor on up!

 

I have a lava fall on side of house - could be disastrous if wrong blocks disappear and lava starts flowing into house!
