Can’t load into realm even after hours

Was exploring the end and got off for the night. It’s been weeks and I still can’t load into my friends realm after sitting in the loading screen for over 6 hours. The game is not frozen because the quotes in the loading screen are still changing. It will just refuse to put me through to the game
