High latency in realm

Realm is suffering really high latency when there are more than 1 player present in the realm.

This delay is so bad that simply opening inventory can take seconds.

 

Been through "customer services" and they have advised to drop a bug report on here (something I find strange as I would consider the issue connection based and not suitable for the bug tracker), the only one I could find similar was REALMS-114667 which is marked as resolved due to no response.

 

to confirm:

• there are no Redstone devices running on the realm
• entities have been minimised using /kill @e and the issue persists.
• running a local copy of the realm has no delay issues
• my networking has been checked and is more than sufficient
• issue is also present if running on switch from a different location
