Raiders Spawning on top of bamboo/Spiders spawning over buttons and carpet

Since the new update, Spiders began spawning in my creeper only gunpowder farm. I tried swaping out the buttons for carpets but it didn't fix it. I didn't think much of it until i accidentally triggered a raid and couldn't find half the raiders. I eventually realized that they had spawned on top of our bamboo farm (on top of the stalks, high in the air), so now i believe that something about spawning on non-solid blocks in general is borked.

It started the moment of the 1.20.30 update and the recent bugfix hasn't changed anything about it.
