Internal exception java.net.socketexception connection reset

My friend bought a realms server that I was playing and am now for some reaason not able to join he didnt change any settings and the message }}{{Internal exception java.net.socketexception connection reset }}{{appears. I have played this server and this was not an issue I just had to log on a few times before it would let me in.
