Realm connection issues

Unable to connect to realm since April. I thought I bought a faulty realm so I purchased another but had the same issue. ‘Unable to load resource packs’ or when I wait long enough i’m disconnected from the server. Chunks aren’t loading, i’m being attacked by mobs from far away when I could get in. This happened all of a sudden and I was messing around with the realm minutes before with texture packs and it was working perfectly fine but then it suddenly didn’t. I also haven’t had the hotfix update.
