Bug/feature about realm specific resource packs.

When joining a realm, I can't disable the realm specific resource pack or say no to enabling/downloading the realm resource pack.
I want to use my own resource packs on this realm and I cannot because it MAKES me download the resource packs. The only other option is to not join the realm.
On Java edition you have the option to download or not download the realm resource pack and stay in the server with your own resource packs.
It also bugs my currently enabled resource packs whenever I try to either disable the realm resource packs or delete them, or when I leave and join with a resource pack I have enabled outside of the realm. 
For example, I am using a UI that mimics java edition, and when leaving the realm with this pack enabled before the realm (Keep in mind, it doesn't even let me use my java UI in the realm) it blanks my text and makes it harder to navigate the menu and join worlds. I've reinstalled the java UI multiple times and it stays blank, despite uninstalling, reinstalling, clearing cache and every resource pack I've downloaded.
That's just one of the issues with this version of the game, please give us the option to deny realm and server resource packs, and fix these weird bugs.
