Cannot combine two Impaling IV books on Anvil

Playing on a realm with my buddy and I have to Impaling 4 books and try and combine them and no luck it just shows the red X, I try to put the enchantment on a trident and that doesn't work either, went onto a test world and it worked just fine. I have tried closing the realm and opening it no avail along with restarting my game. I am on pc if it matters.
