Realm crashes roughly every hour, nothing is saved (rollbacks)

Every time we play, without fail, the realm will crash after 30 minutes to an hour of playtime. The progress within that time span will be lost i.e. rollbacks. These constant rollbacks have rendered the game unplayable. 

These errors began roughly 6 weeks ago and haven't stopped since.

 

Errors that occur:

realms service error (500) could not connect to realms: pc.realms.minecraft.net

java.io.ioexception error

realms service error could not connect to realms - read timeout

General 'Disconnected' error message

Our realm size has now breached 15+ gigs. Does the size of the world have any effect on this?
