Minecraft Realms- Farms not working unless creator is on.

Myself and a friend have a survival realm on bedrock edition of Minecraft. we are pretty far
into it now, part of the progress is building some automatic farms.
I built an emerald farm using one of the pillager outposts and I have also built a gold/XP farm.
When my friend tries to use the emerald farm, the bad omen effect doesn't get applied to him, it only applies to me even though I'm over 2000 blocks away, I'm not near a village either.
Even when I'm not on it won't work for him, and then as soon as I join the realm I immediately get bad omen. So that farm doesn't work for him.
similarly with the gold and xp farm, he can use it and the piglin will spawn, however no XP
will drop from them until I log onto the realm.
For some reason these farms are reliant on me.
He can still get XP from mobs out and about, it's just this farm for some reason.
I think these should be addressed otherwise what's the point of having a realm if I have to be on there with him or I'm the only one who can use the farms that have taken hours to build.
We both play on Xbox Series X

I have Videos of the issue that are too big to Submit, they have both my point of view and my friends point of view.
Also just note that we are playing on 1.19.41, it wouldn't let me select or type this in the "affects version/s" box
