/gamerule mod griefing

im havig an issue with a friends realm, we are playing on survival, never activated before the option of creeative or commands, just survival, but we  dont know when it suddenly mod griefing turned off, so we  can not make villagers breed and, creepers do not distroy blocks, we dont want to turn on the cheats or creative mode, we need a solution for this on survival mode any help welcome
