Nintendo Switch will not join realms after update

After attempting to join a realm with the message "Joining realm. This may take a few moments.", I am hit with the message of "Unable to connect to realm. Failed attempting to join realm. Please try again later."

 

I restarted the switch, took the realm on and offline, and checked for corrupted data, and redownloaded the game, and it still is having this issue. 

 

It has been over 3 hours.

 

Now i could join the realm on my phone, but i have switch users as the majority of the realm, and i do not want to be flooded with messages. 

 

Please help me out here. Thank you.

 

Realm in question is called Cool Players On the Block
