95% of texts on signs suddenly disappeared

Almost all texts on signs suddenly disappeared. A few signs still have texts on them but they are random. Nothing to do with who placed the sign or if theyre dyed or not. Tried restarting, removed all texture packs, still the same. Affects other players in the realm too.
