Everything that you can write on does not work

I first discovered it when trying to name my horse and when i name the nametag name with a anvil it just reset and i tested on other items and it did the same again and when i tried to write something on a book & quill it would not save when getting off the book and same thing for the cartography table, sign and chat unless you use /msg
