Left dpad button on mcpe problem

Hey, I've been having some problems tapping the left dpad button on a Vivo Nex Dual Display phone. I have to hold the left dpad button to go left. Plus my phone is brand new, no cracks. Please fix this problem. Oh and btw making the screen safe area smaller fixes it,  but it looks weird to me.
