Converting Zombies to Drowned do not Equip Tridents (only Fishing Poles)

Created Drowned (keeping a zombie under water until they convert) do not equip tridents.  They'll equip fishing poles as evidenced by my farm chest getting fishing poles, but no Tridents.  I am killing the Drowned with a Sword with Max Looting, and not getting any tridents at all.
