trading villagers de-spawning

Hi,

 I have an issue with villagers that I have been trading with disappearing. Is there a limit on how many villagers you can keep in one place? I'm losing valuable trades. Not being killed in any way. In addition i also have mine carts disappear as well when reloading the world.
