@khenckel PS4: Microsoft account log in issue

Every time I try to log into my microsoft account again on my PS4 to crossplay, I receive a message that states "Failed to login: Oops! Looks like the Microsoft account you are trying to use is already connected to another account on playstation network"

Previously I only had 1 microsoft live account and 1 PSN account, but I made a new PSN account and a new microsoft account - and those pair together just fine. The only problem is for me to play online on a new account, I'd have to pay again for PSN plus ... 

Things I've tried so far:

• trying to use a new microsoft account to access my PSN plus account (gives a diff login error msg stating that the PSN plus account is already synced with a different microsoft account) 
• deleting cache on account log ins for minecraft before trying to log in 
• uploading MC data on ps4 online storage, deleting all MC data on system storage, deleting the game, re-installing the game and trying to log back in 
• deleting all MC data on system storage, deleting the game, re-installing the game data from online storage along with the game and trying to log back in 

It sounds like its an issue between mojang/microsoft. Would it be possible to unlink a microsoft account from my psn account? 

Please help, this thing is driving me crazy. My account has nothing worth saving, I would just like to play in cross platform with my friends. 

Affects v1.16.40*** (not an option on affected versions)
