achievements not working on realms

when I go into the game I have all my Microsoft settings set up but I go into realms and it says when I go into the pause screen "your Microsoft account has been disconnected" in a Microsoft realm. and if it does not say that it still does not give me achievements. I've tried 3 achievements and my achievements don't pop up. please help.
