I cannot place block after the nether roof

I've seen that in Java versión people can do a lot of things on top of the nether, but I can't! It pops a message saying "Height limit for building is 128 blocks" and that was very disappointing.
I'd like to be able to build and create those amazing farms. I hope you can read this text and solve the problem. Thank you for reading.
